Old Timers Contest

Bixby Bulletin

October 7, 1965

The Bixby Bulletin ran a popular feature called Old Timers Contest during the 1960s. A photograph was printed in the weekly newspaper. Readers tried to identify the subjects of the photograph. Names of readers who guessed the correct identity were placed in a drawing. Winners received a subscription to the Bixby Bulletin.

On Thursday, October 7, 1965, Mrs. Doys Leslie won a subscription by identifying Selma Hunter and Alice Pullard. Others who guessed the correct identities were Mrs. Laura Thomas, Mrs. Bonnie Dobbs and Mrs. Flora Salee.
